THOUGHTS:

-The 2-4 seed range is STACKED. Do Florida State and Arizona seem like four seeds to you? Yeah, me neither. But Kentucky, Gonzaga, UCLA, etc. don’t look like four seeds, either. Someone has to drop.

-Dayton is now a lock after beating VCU.

-Georgia moved into the bracket by one point last night (after beating Auburn at home), but then Wake Forest beat Louisville to knock Georgia out. The next teams out after Georgia are Ohio State, Rhode Island, Cal, and Illinois State.

-Iowa State keeps climbing up the bracket, as their hot streak continued with a close win over Oklahoma State. They will really make a run toward a protected seed if they can win at West Virginia. Expect the winner to likely get a five seed or better.

-Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State seem more like six or seven seeds. But again, someone has to drop.

-Middle Tennessee is almost up to a ten. They will have a real shot at an at-large bid, if needed. It will probably come down to how some teams they’ve beaten finish (UNC-Wilmington, Belmont, Vandy, etc.).

-Kansas will become the first team to lock up a one seed if they win their regular season finale at Oklahoma State. But the Jayhawks routinely get beaten at Bill Self’s alma mater. Don’t expect them to lock until the Big XII tournament.
